Yeah, I was being a little facetious with the 8-8 comment. There can be plenty of reasons for not making the playoffs and it shouldn't always fall on the coach. The bottom line is that we should show improvement next season.

Drew I agree with almost everything you said until the end of the blog. If we go 8-8 I am not sure JMAC should be thrown out of town. It all depends on what happens at the quarterback position. If we commit to Kyle Orton long term then I think 8-8 will get him fired. However, if he is merely building a bridge to the future with Orton he'll have more time. I do believe this upcoming draft will define is career in Denver. If this draft is a bust for JMAC he will be fired within 2 years. I personally am hopeful that Brandstater or someone from the draft will emerge as our future leader. I also am a fan of Jevan Snead if he falls in your laps in round 2 or 3. He has all the tools Jay Cutler has... Hopefully he has a better head.

I think this is well put- My thought is (and always has been) Do I really want to win this way? Like Woody, I despise Belichick and his brand of doing things, but I love the Broncos, so It puts me in a tough position. I am predisposed to disliking McDaniels because I loathe his mentor.

Using a cooking analogy: If you were to bake a cake at sea level vs. baking one at high altitude, you'd have to adjust temperature & cook time once in the higher kitchen..failure to do so would result in a funky cake.

I'm just not sure blindly replicating the recipe will work in a different kitchen.
