ARE. YOU. KIDDING? What kind of team lets a Jamarcus Russell-lead RAIDERS team march down the field and score the go-ahead TD in the waning seconds??
(here’s a hint: not a team that hopes to get to the playoffs)
I’ve been an Orton fan ever since he got here, but the guy allowed his offense to settle for multiple FGs-that-should-have-been-TDs. Inexcusable. That has threatened to kill us all year and it finally did - what an embarrassment.

Drew… I have been a huge fan of JMAC since he got to town. I think he is going to be a great coach in the NFL but after the Raider game I do have 2 complaints about his coaching. The first will make you very happy Drew….
1. JMAC is being way too hard headed about not playing Payton Hillis (AKA Drew’s man crush…AKA Drew’s southern gentleman… AKA Drew’s favorite white running back since Larry Czonka). I know Hillis is not JMAC’s guy but playing Lamont Jordan over Hillis is crazy, wrong and is the sign of a stubborn young coach. Get him in the game JMAC. I know he’s not your guy but neither is BMARSH, Clady, DJ Williams and Champ Bailey yet they’re all still playing.
2. I still stick to my guns about the offensive line getting beat in Indianapolis and now in the second half of the Oakland Raider game. My only question to JMAC is why we keep running right on short yardage situations???? I know Knowshon Moreno is right handed but come on folks think about it…. Ryan Harris is hurt… Tyler Polumbus is in and he’s getting blown out on short yardage plays… And there seems to be an ALL-PRO guy on the other side of the field that was opening up car washes in the first half against Oakland. Why did we stop running to his side in the second half is all I want to know JMAC??? All our yardage came on that side of the field. Very confused about that…
Outside of that the offensive and defensive play was not the coaches’ fault. If we could tackle a running back it could have been a win… If we could have scored in the red zone it could have been a win… And of course if Stokely wasn’t old and slow it would have been a win…
Play of the game - The guy who blinded Brandon Marshall with a lazer pointer. If you’re an Oakland fan great play!!!! You stopped our momentum and maybe helped your team stop us on the goal line. Congrats to that knucklehead because he gets my game ball.

I am just at a complete loss. I was afraid of all the pre-game QB hoopla because the worst possibility in the world popped into my head. With no QB they will run the ball, they have the best 1-2-3 punch in football maybe second only to the Saints trio. I feel you Dave, you know Mr. Hillis would dominate in short yard situations, as Rhys said in our show, he falls down he moves the ball a yard at least, and thank you please run the ball left, Clady is a beast. He can be my wingman any day.
Aaron calling out Orton a bit, this offense is dinking and dunking and we are terrible in the red zone. Can we stop getting blown up on short yardage and put in Stokley for the slant, Please. I got a grim look at this team’s true colors. If you can’t beat this Oakland team at home with your wild card playoff hopes on the line, you don’t deserve to be in the playoff picture. JMac hasn’t done a lot of coaching since NE game in my humble opinion (and K.C. doesn’t count, the fans didn’t even come out-rare site at Arrowhead).

Drew… I agree with most of what you have just said. I think JMAC has done a decent job of coaching and calling plays on offense. My only issue is I’m beginning to think I’d rather see the offense at 3rd and 10 rather than 3rd and 1 because JMAC is much more creative on 3rd and 10.
Also JMAC needs to realize 1 thing. This O-LINE was built on the zone blocking philosophy which means they are small and athletic. It also means we can’t play smash mouth football and run over people. We just don’t have the personnel to do that. And can someone please tell Kyle Orton he doesn’t have to fall down unless someone from the other team touches him. That was disgusting!
