Some stories need a new ending.

Some stories need a new ending.

That’s right were going Giant hunting, you know what they say the bigger they are, the harder they fall. If anyone knows what a team that starts undefeated, looses four straight and then works it’s way back and beats a tough opponent, it’s Tom Coughlin and these 2009 Giants. They lost four in a row to before putting their losing ways to rest with a 34-31 overtime win over Atlanta on Sunday. I think this game will show us who Josh McDaniels is and how he gets this team back on track. We find ourselves at a breaking point. One more loss and we could be looking at the end, a big win against a good team after a downward slide would put us back on track with 3 division games left to take back what is ours.

This offense hit a stand-still when Orton has left the game and Chris Simms looked horrible in his big debut as a starter. Orton has said he will play but at what cost. I think JMac showed last game he is willing to risk his health and participation for the rest of the season when faced with another loss. Injuries plagued us last year and between offense and defense our Captains fell hard and didn’t get up and recover. We hope to see them come out fighting. There were two changes to the Broncos’ Injury Report on Tuesday. After being listed as “did not practice” on Monday, Dawkins (neck) and Ryan Harris (Toe) were limited participants during the team’s jog-through on Tuesday. We could see a lot of key participants return to action perhaps even if they are not at full strength to “stop the bleeding”.

We really couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to save a crumbling season. The Giant’s backfield is banged up, they have to fly across the country on a short week, they barely managed to break their own 4 game losing streak last week. Yet they’re a very good team so beating will help show that we didn’t just get lucky against good opponents in weeks 1-6.

I have confidence. I’ve benched Kevin Boss and Ahmed Bradshaw on my fantasy team. And I’m seriously considering starting Eddie Royal just as a show of good faith.

Dig the optimism Woody. I think we have a really great chance unless they decide to run the ball. We have looked horrible at stopping the run, hell Betts look like Adrian Peterson. Oh and Ahmed Bradshaw is hurt don’t start him. I know I have him too.

Hey all you known and unknown Donk buddies. The new owner of the Fremont Dock, is opening just for me today at 5 PM for the Broncos game. I can’t find many people who are able to show up to give him some bizzness and hopefully watch the orange and blue turn it around.

If you don’t have the NFL network at home, c’mon down!
